Spring 2025 Theme
Perseverance & Permanence: What Endures in the Face of Change?
Permanence, perseverance, and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.”
– Thomas Carlyle
Consider how the idea of permanence and perseverance influences you, your art, and your community. We are open to all ideas that persist and persevere in a time of agitation and disorder when so many voices are silenced. We are looking for pieces that exemplify hope, whether that hope is violent, uplifting, or somewhere in between. What spark inside of you cannot be snuffed out? This theme is as encompassing as you want it to be. We would love to read your interpretations and inspirations.
- What changes and what stays the same?
- What is too loud to ignore?
- What’s a fight you’ll continue to fight?
- Where is hope too strong to die?
- What does it mean to progress?
